Contractual matters

In response to a telephone sales call from Proximus, Mr. V. asked to receive this proposal in writing so that he could examine the details at his leisure. However, Proximus immediately sent him a contract.

Description of the complaint

In response to a telephone sales call from Proximus, Mr. V. asked to receive this proposal in writing so that he could examine the details at his leisure. However, Proximus immediately sent him a contract. Mr. V. instantly sent a registered letter, making use of his right to cancel the contract. Proximus disconnected the mobile number and charged termination costs. After contacting the customer service, he was promised that the charges incurred and the lost call credit would be refunded. Since the SIM card had already been deactivated, Mr. V. wonders how Proximus will take care of this.

Comments

Proximus states that Mr. V. agreed on the telephone to enter into a new contract but does credit the termination costs it charged and refunds the remaining call credit into the complainant's account.
